Abbas town blast: Police arrest ‘LeJ man’

According to SSP Memon, the arrest was made after an encounter on Siddiq Wahab Road.

KARACHI: The police claim to have apprehended an alleged member of the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) involved in the Abbas Town bomb blast that claimed lives of over 50 people and left several others wounded on March 2. The arrested terrorist, Obaidullah, belongs to the Naeem Bukhari group of the LeJ. His arrest was disclosed during a press conference held by South SSP Faisal Bashir Memon at his office on Tuesday. According to SSP Memon, the arrest was made after an encounter on Siddiq Wahab Road.

Why does Pakistan Government arrest LeJ leaders,when they have openly declared their intentions to kill Shias.
