Ghotki rape case: Investigations going on carefully, says SSP

Two girls had alleged that Khambhra police station house confined and raped them for three days.

SUKKUR: The police are taking extra care in dealing with the Ghotki rape case, SSP Abdul Salam Shaikh told The Express Tribune. Two girls had alleged that the Khambhra police station house officer (SHO) had kept them in confinement where they were raped for three days. The police officer had denied the allegations. The SSP said, “We don’t want to jump to any conclusion just yet.” The Medical Superintendent of Taluka Hospital Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Bachkani told The Express Tribune, “We have sent samples for chemical test which may take eight to ten days. Informed sources said that Abdullah Awan has been named in a number of complains by the citizens.
