Khuzdar killing: Police officer shot dead

QUETTA: A group of armed men on motorbikes shot dead a police officer on Double Road in Khuzdar district, 300-kilometer southwest of Quetta. According to Khuzdar police station, Station House Officer (SHO) of Tehsil Wadh police station Nisar Ahmed Mengal was on his way to Khuzdar from Wadh when armed men targeted him. The assailants escaped after opening fire. The slain police officer received multiple bullet wounds on upper torso and died on the spot, hospital sources said. The motive behind the murder could not be known until this report was filed.
