The request was filed by Advocate Ilyas Siddiqui, the counsel for Musharraf.
Siddiqui said that the Aabpara police had registered an FIR against Musharraf for initiating the Lal Masjid operation, despite the fact that he was not directly involved.
Siddiqui stated that the court had already sent the former dictator on two weeks judicial remand. The court issued notice to state and sought reply till October 18.
Musharraf was rearrested on October, 10 for initiating Lal Masjid operation in 2007 and court had sent him two weeks judicial remand. The former president had already obtained bail in Benazir Bhutto murder case and judge’s detention case pending in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC).
The judicial magistrate on October 11 had sent him on 14-days judicial remand on his farm house which was already declared as a sub jail where former president had been confined to since the last six months.
Also, the Aabpara Police had registered a First Information Report (FIR) in September this year on the direction of Islamabad High Court (IHC) in response to a complaint filed by Haroon Rasheed, son of Ghazi Abdul Rasheed, deputy cleric of Lal Masjid, who was killed in the 2007 operation at the mosque along with his mother.

@logic: Yes he should be granted bail but the amount should be at least Rs 100 million plus his palace next to Islamabad? Per his own statement his net worth is Rs 650 million . That was the amount he declared to election commission this yr.
Ironic that terrorists are released,if tried;and law enforcement has to take the blame and face years of legal harassment. Not a good precedent for Pakistan's security structure, and another boost to terrorists.
What a paradox, a terrorist den is identified as a mosque! You can call it whatever you like 'Lal' 'Peela' or 'Hari' it still is what it was a place where they stockpiled arms and ammunition which was intended and used against our country. The government of the time did what it should have done, though they gave the terrorists in the garb of mullahs a bit too long and did not wipe them all out completely for other budding terrorist to learn a lesson from. President Musharraf showed a bit too much of patience and a bit too long, I wish this gang should have been liquidated once for ever and that den of terror raised to the ground and never permitted to be rebuilt under any circumstances whatsoever.
Bail. ..? GRANTED.
The bail would be granted by the honourable court without asking any questions. The General must have already packed his bags to move out of the country at short notice.
our prayers with him .God bless him.
Long live General and may you blessed with early freedom from all the concocted criminals cases. You are the only hope for the masses of Pakistan who can bring stability and peace in this war ridden country. You are Greater man and brave soldier of the soil.
Whatever orders were given were official orders. What is this sham being perpetrated on a former president and COAS. It is about time the askari establishment ends this tamasha, otherwise they will find themselves kicked around by corrupt politicians.
