According to what the girl, Z*, told doctors treating her at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), she was abducted by an anonymous rickshaw driver when she was going home in North Karachi from her college in Sakhi Hassan on Friday afternoon.
“I was given some kind of juice by a rickshaw driver and I do not know what actually happened later,” she told doctors at the JPMC.
The girl had been found in unconscious state in Defence Phase I, within the limits of Defence police station. Some people said that the girl had jumped onto the road from a running rickshaw while some said she was thrown from the running rickshaw. However, she was soon shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Z was taken to JPMC along with a person who she claimed was her uncle. Shortly after she was brought to the hospital, her uncle took her home.
“After taking her back to home, the girl’s family tried to admit her to a private hospital but the hospital’s administration refused to admit them and later the family brought her back to JPMC in the evening,” JPMC’s joint executive director Dr Seemin Jamali told The Express Tribune.
Back at the JPMC, female medico-legal officer Dr Fareeda conducted Z’s medical examination.
“Our doctor’s findings suggest that she has been subjected to sexual assault,” Dr Jamali explained. She added that the girl was in unconscious condition but she was able to communicate with the doctors, adding that it is likely that she was given some toxic substances in a drink and has been admitted to the Poisoning Control Centre of the hospital.
The girl’s family refused to offer comment.
Meanwhile, police has been unable to get a handle on the case.
“We are still waiting to record her or her family’s statement so that we can start our investigations,” said Defence DSP Tariq Mughal. “We are still trying to ascertain what actually happened to her and how and by whom.”
The officer said that the police will be able to do something after the family or the victim record their statement.
No case had been registered till the filing of this report.

Did 4 pious Muslim men saw her getting raped? Why did she take juice from a rickshaw drive? Pakistani women should be very careful about accepting drinks provided by Muslim men.
And till when will this mess continue? Rape incidents are increasing day by day. The solution is fairly simply. If any person is found guilty of raping someone, SET AN EXAMPLE! and let it be aired on media. The magic of stick always works.

@Islam: Keep the religious hatred to yourself. Atleast we are not taught to rape women like hinduism(your religion) where its considered to very pious to rape a Dalit girl. Because she's 15 years old, and probably a bit naive and inexperienced of life, like most minors. Of all of the things in this story, you pick out that? No wonder females have such a hard time in this godforsaken country.
what would you expect a society who has forgotten their religion .. All I can say may Allah save us from such ppl .. and last but not least treat girls like you want your sister/mother to be treated by others ...

Why she accepted the juice from Rickshaw driver? This is something highly unlikely in our society that girl traveling in a Rickshaw accept the juice from the driver. there must be something else in the story that has not been unearthed for the reason being not necessary since the baseline store was enough to report a rape that is the policy of the newspaper. While this has to be followed and the reasons behind these sort of incidents should also be brought to light and surely Taliban are not behind them. Ironically the so called liberals are behind these sort of incidents who have for the last many years advocated in favour of all kind of vulgarity in the name of personal freedom and so called liberty of individual that has led our people to watch all things obscene in the TV and Cinema that are eventually culminating into this present state of affairs.
