KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Government Owais Muzaffar has helped 43 intending pilgrims of Balochistan, defrauded by a travel agent, to proceed with their journey to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj. “It was saddening to find out that a local travel agent had cheated these people and ran away with their money, which prompted me to take up the case with higher authorities and facilitate them,” he said. Talking to the media at his residence, Muzaffar said the honour to perform hajj was a gift from Allah and he was humbled by having the opportunity to help hajjis in distress. Owais informed that among the 43 hajjis he bore the expenses of 10 pilgrims from his own pocket.
