Dispute: Man strangles wife

SIALKOT: A man strangled his wife here on Thursday following an argument. A case has been registered on the complaint of the woman’s brother, who was informed by some of the neighbours. Hajipura police said Muhammad Asim had an argument with his wife Azmat Parveen. They said he beat her and then called his brothers Muhammad Kashif and Muhammad Umair. The three men strangled her. Police said some neighbours had heard her shout for help and rushed to her house. They told police that they saw the woman lying dead on the floor when they went inside the house. There was no one at the house, the said. The deceased had married Asim six months ago. Her family was informed and a case was registered against her husband and his brothers.
