Fashion Police: A floral disaster

While we don’t despise combination of the outfit itself, we can’t help but raise an eyebrow on the unbecoming fitting.

Veteran Bollywood actor Sridevi might have set the screen on fire in her early days (dancing in saris in the rain) but this time, the look wasn’t exactly easy on the eyes.

The Chandni actor arrived at an art showcase in Mumbai looking rather unfashionable.

Here is what she did wrong:

Hair & make-up

Despite the fact that Sridevi’s face was her only saving grace at the event, it was not done up properly. We do like the smokey eye look, but Sridevi went completely wrong with that black shadow. The credit for her almost panda-like eyes goes to the sloppy smudged eye shadow. We wish she had reapplied lipstick before getting ready for pictures — it looks like it has been peeled off.

We really don’t want to comment on her hair — it’s surprising how she tied it up carelessly in a ponytail, which rested on her shoulder. We would love to see those locks cascading down her shoulders!

Outfit

Alright, we get it — Sridevi wanted to look youthful and bubbly. What else can be the reason behind opting for this ensemble, comprising a sky blue shirt lapelled around the waist with a beady brooch paired with silk floral pants. While we don’t despise the combination of the outfit itself, we can’t help but raise an eyebrow on the unbecoming fitting.

A sari or something more flattering would suit someone like Sridevi, who has managed to maintain a curvaceous figure even at this age.

Accessories & shoes

The accessories and shoes aren’t bad on their own but they just look a little out of place with her clothes.

A pair of neon coloured heels or stark red heels would have looked way better.

Actor Jessica Alba is on top of her game with this outfit. We love the chic floral pants, contrasted against an orange tee and double-shaded turquoise and black overcoat. Matching her outfit, she wore turquoise heels — smokin’!

Olivia Palermo



Reality TV star Olivia Palermo looks stunning in these floral print pants, which she’s worked up with a plain crop top and a blazer. We also love how she’s pulled off print-on-print by wearing animal print shoes with her pants.
