South Africa series: Shan, Shahzad included in Test squad

KARACHI: Ahmed Shahzad, Shan Masood and Asad Shafiq have been included in the Test squad as the Pakistan Cricket Board announced the remaining three players for the upcoming series against South Africa.

Both Shahzad and Masood gave an impressive performance for Pakistan A at the three-day tour match against South Africa, hitting half centuries.

Struggling Asad Shafiq also managed to retain his place in the squad with a 42-run innings in the drawn tie in Sharjah.

The PCB already announced 12 players for the 15-man squad that include Misbahul Haq (captain), Khurram Manzoor, Azhar Ali, Younis Khan, Umar Amin, Adnan Akmal, Saeed Ajmal, Zulfiqar Babar, Abdul Rehman, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Irfan, Rahat Ali.

The two-match series will start in Abu Dhabi from October 14.
