Busted: 9 criminals arrested, weapons seized

Police said when they searched the vehicle they found three rifles, a 9mm pistol and bullets.

BAHAWALPUR: The police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested nine criminals from Abbas Nagar and seized illegal weapons from them. Police said they stopped a pick up truck at Lal Sohanra check post on Wednesday. They said when they searched the vehicle they found three rifles, a 9mm pistol and bullets. They said the nine men inside the vehicle – Muhammad Ramazan, Muhammad Abu Bakr, Muhammad Ataullah, Faisal Akhtar, Shahzad Anwar, Abdul Hafeez, Muhammad Abdullah, Muhammad Matloob and Zaheeruddin – were wanted in several robbery and terrorism cases.
