SUKKUR:

Eight persons, including three brothers, were killed in an armed clash between two groups of the Chandio clan in the mountainous region of Warah in district Qamber-Shahdadkot on Tuesday night.

According to reports, two groups Rajhani Chandio and Korejani Chandio have been at daggers drawn over a minor issue for the last two years.

Persons from one group of the Chandio clan were returning to their homes on Tuesday night, when armed men from the rival group intercepted them and an exchange of hot words followed.

In the meantime, someone opened fire, which was returned by the others. The exchange of fire left eight people dead on the spot, while two or three men were injured.

No police officials had reached the scene due to a dispute of jurisdiction between Hamal and Ghaibi Dero police stations.

According to sources, two years ago Irshad was killed by armed men over some dispute.
