The Prime Minister said this in a meeting with UK Special Envoy Sir Michael Barber at the PM’s House on Tuesday.
Nawaz said that initially, the PDU would be established in four key areas of governance, including energy, infrastructure, employment generation and housing.
The premier said that the body will be built along the lines of similar bodies functioning in the UK and Malaysia.
The Prime Minister also stressed Pakistan's commitment to education while appreciating UK's support for education in Pakistan.
Sir Barber assured UK's maximum possible assistance in the establishment of the unit.

This simply means UK will be having all the information of Pakistani government's functions.
Actually Pakistan resources are going in waste due to corruption and bad governance.
If Mian Muhammad Sharif is interested to establish performance monitoring body then he would have to give preference to monitoring body over his ministers and the ministries working under them.
The performance monitoring body must have a say in running day to day government affairs for immediate improvement and not only to submit its report to Prime Minister Office to file the same for the purpose of record.
There is a serious issue of check and balances in Pakistan and this is the weakest point of the government.
Ironically speaking, if Mian Nawaz Sharif will come across with sincere and honest people who are very few and can be counted on the finger tips in Pakistan, he will not only improve the over all governance, but will possibly make his way to get PML(N) successful in the next general election, but for that the PM first has to swallow the bitter pills during his present tenure.
Does he mean the UK,the "alleged" cause of all problems in Pakistan!!!!Guess all charity is acceptable, but chiding them is our right!!Childish?!!
To create more jobs in the family?
Other then being PM, he holds three more ministries, does it mean he will monitor his performance.
