MQM leader and MNA Syed Raza Ali Abidi confirmed the heightened security on Twitter.

"They came to visit for security purposes of Nine-Zero,” said MQM leader Aminul Haq while talking to The Express Tribune. “This is a routine matter. They come on almost a daily basis."
Rangers have been carrying out an operation in Karachi targeting criminal elements. A Rangers spokesperson however denied news of a raid inside the MQM's headquarters, while talking to The Express Tribune.
The spokesperson said that the Rangers just carried out patrolling and had no intention to conduct a raid.

@Mohammad Ali Siddiqui: For the very simple reason dear sir. Britain has rule of law whereas Pakistan doesn't. Moreover, politics doesn't play any role in criminality in Britain whereas it does in Pakistan.
If Scotland Yard can conduct a raid at the MQM's International Sect. and at Mr. Altaf Hussain residence in London then why not Rangers and Police can conduct a raid at 90?

And still they say this so called operation is not against a single party.All i hear is MQM like all other parties are 'peace angels'. This so called operation is nothing more than a revenge against all those who opposed a specific party. Plus not a single security personal has been KIA in this topi drama, like terrorists were waiting for them to come and arrest them and they are happily giving up detentions.
