Out of the 84,448 votes cast only 6,805 were verified.
Shortly after the NADRA report, the Election Commission of Pakistan issued a statement saying that the election tribunal will rule over the matter.
The NADRA report revealed that 5,893 votes were cast twice and 741 votes were not related to the area.
Moreover, there were 11,346 votes cast from 40 Computerised National Identity Cards.
Muttahida Quami Movement’s candidate Iqbal Muhammad Khan had won the elections in the constituency.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s candidate Zubair Khan challenged the victory and filed a petition.
The Nadra report has been presented to the election tribunal council and its copies will be given to the candidates.
Returning officer and presiding officers will be summoned in court.
A similar incident had happened earlier in the NA-258 constituency in Karachi in which a report regarding thumb print verification of votes released by NADRA revealed that that only 2,400 of the total votes cast were genuine. The report also said that at least 1, 400 of the voters had cast their votes twice.
PML-N’s candidate Abdul Hakim Baloch had won in this area with a total of 51,148 votes cast for him.
His victory was challenged by the Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Abdur Razzaq Raja.

Nadra has clearly mentioned in its report that due to the quality of paper and non-magnetic ink used in elections these 57,642 votes are "unverfiable". Also acting Additional Secretary ECP has admitted mismanagement by ECP staff which led to this scenario (http://e.jang.com.pk/10-09-2013/karachi/pic.asp?picname=1815.gif) I have following questions, answer from any one will be welcomed:
1. Out of 57,642, how many votes have been cast in favour of PTI and how many in favour of MQM ? 2. Counterfoils of these 57,642 votes contain CNIC numbers of voters. Can in the presence of these CNIC numbers these votes be declared as "bogus" ?
I suggest that MQM take up this matter as a life or death matter and go to every legal extent to save Karachi's mandate and foil the attempts by media and opponents to deprive Karachi of its political liberty.
@pk Why Afghans be allowed to vote? in Khi elections, were they the one castig bogus votes? in favor of PTI? last thing i remember ANP govt shifted the refugges camp 100 km away from Peshawar to stop crime etc, why in Khi we are so helpless? Though one accepts the vote bank created by PTI in Khi for good order sakes lets stop calling voters of other party ghosts, cheaters or fraudulent this will only create conflict.

Please go do the math your self. The 57,000 votes were the ones where the thumb impression could not be verified by the computer. That is because of poor quality of ink and paper provided by ECP which could not record the thumb prints properly. These votes all had a valid CNIC number so they are not necessarily fake.
In a free and fair election in Karachi under the army, PTI would not get more than 10,000 votes from NA 256.

This report says 57,642 ballots could not be compared or matched through Nadra system because the fingerprints were of very poor quality seemingly due to a lack of essential properties of the ink and inkpad used in the process of balloting according to a leading english daily. 84,748 were cheked, if they are fake then what was happening on that day at those polling stations ? Was there any curfew imposed in this locality ? Was there a hush silence and only MQM workers were stamping ballots. Have you forgot by-elections under army supervision where other candidates even got their gauranty money forfeited ? 57,642 votes were bogus ??? In the 2013 elections MQM had got 151,788 votes while runner up PTI guy had got 69,072 votes making the difference of nearly 80000. Even if one assumes 'MQM had all got all the bogus votes' and we takes these 'votes' out they would still win easily. I hope the Nadra checks lahore records too.
Out of 57K odd bogus votes, 24K are accounted for. Express should tell the whole story as to why were the rest of the 33K were declared bogus?
I am saying this with a very strong warning to the masses of Pakistan.

Probably few political parties must have send their own voters to cast bogus votes in NA-256 in order to damage the reputation of MQM in Karachi.
The Election Commission should declare the election result null and void and order re-election in NA-256 under the supervision of Army.
If MQM candidate is popular in the area, he will again win the NA-256 election.
So would the winner be disqualified now? This is one reason why IK was so openly asking to get the votes verified, and this is the reason why neither PMLN nor MQM were interested in this practice. This news could be surprising for those of you who are from other parts of the country, but me, like other Karachiites saw it happening in front of our eyes, and this news hardly comes as a surprise, though I am happy that the truth got revealed. But this truth wouldn't help until we see an action taken against the riggers. Whats the point of celebrating this democracy when we can't decide which party to rule the country. Democracy is for the people I heard, but in Pakistan its for the powerful, thats it!
The election commission has on record has said 'we have failed to conduct free and fair elections in Karachi' ( many electronic channels have this recording). The election result in Karachi should be declared null and void and just like by-elections, they should be conducted a new. Otherwise the result will have no moral, legal and lawful justification.
Do the Maths, even if they put all these bogus votes ( which are actually not bogus but not readable due to paper quality etc ) MQM still won that seat :)

This is what happened in with PTI in recent elections. Same is the case in Punjab.
Needless to say MQM had 148 K Votes; Second in Lead was PTI with 67K Votes. Even it all fake votes were casted by MQM; thats still a sum of 92 K Votes to MQM. Only If all fake were casted by MQM; But why would MQM need to do that. NA 256 is its stronghold. PTI's desperation is laudable.

If you are going to verify all the votes by thumb prints, 90% will not match. Because, thumb verifcation on the bellot papper with the given ink is not a good input to to the system. If these thumb scans were done, the results given by NADRA would have been dependable. But in this case, ink spreads over the given location any most of the images are unreadable.
This happened in entire Pakistan. PTI won on bogus votes in KP PML N in Punjab PPP & PML F in interior Sindh.
This is how the so called democracy is in our country..PTI was a clean winner in Karachi and all over Pakistan....there was no question about it...is this the way you want to strengthen the democracy...the fake mandate...no sane Pakistani will believe in this democracy anymore...they were out from there houses first time by believing that there vote will be counted..it is a massive setback to the democratic process in Pakistan...shame on each and every institution and party involved in it..

What analysts were saying about Karachi elections is confirmed by these facts. Even though the final outcome would have been in MQM's favor, the results would have been much closer than past elections. Shame on MQM for massive rigging.
