Mysterious deaths: Two sisters die of poison

The police have not yet confirmed the cause of death or the motive.

SWAT: Two sisters reportedly committed suicide by swallowing poison in Shah Dheri area of Swat district, said the girls’ father on Friday. The police, however, have not yet confirmed the cause of death or the motive. According to Shah Dheri police official Hazrat Syed, Amir Alam Khan told them his daughters, 18-year-old Razia and 16-year-old Rukayya, swallowed poison. They started vomiting heavily after which they were rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Kabal but succumbed to their injuries on the way. Khan said Razia was married and had come to celebrate Eid with them. The autopsy also revealed both girls died of poison intake. However, it could not yet be confirmed if they committed suicide. The sisters were buried in Serai Manarai graveyard. A case was also filed and police started investigation.
