PESHAWAR: Sketches of the suspects who had gotten off the Peshawar bus right before it exploded have been released, Express News reported on Thursday.

The court also sent the bus driver and conductor, who were arrested on Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Pervez Khattak's orders, on a judicial remand for 14 days.

K-P CM had said that bus driver and conductor shouldn't have allowed as many people on the bus.

Last weeks, an explosion had ripped through a passenger coach, carrying mostly government employees on Charsadda Road, Peshawar. The attack had left 20 people dead while nearly 40 injured.

According to the bomb disposal squad (BDS), the bomb had contained around six to seven kilogrammes of explosive material and had a timed device attached to it.

The explosion had been so intense that it threw the bus far from the blast site.

Syed A. Mateen | 10 years ago | Reply Sketches are no good to identify a culprit by the general public. What is needed is to install secretly CCTV Cameras in all the buses so that the whole journey from point to point should be recorded. The Daewoo Bus Company shuttling in Pakistan takes pictures of the passengers before boarding the bus. Atleast Daewoo has some record of the pictures of the passengers. It is upto the government to pass orders through the respective Minister of a Transport to all owners of the buses to install CCTV Cameras for complete video recording.
