NEW DEHLI: Bollywood and Hollywood have been bonding quite a lot lately with B-town actors finding gigs in Hollywood and with tinsel town heartthrobs doing cameos in Bolly movies like Kambakkht Ishq. However, it seems that it’s just not the dancing around the trees that fascinates international celebs but also, hardcore desi bhangra!

American singer Kelly Rowland, who has made many fans sway to her songs, says that personally she loves dancing to Punjabi tracks and won’t mind working in Indian movies. The former member of Destiny’s Child band, known for popular tracks like Ghetto, Motivation, Ice and Dirty Laundry, is currently judging US singing reality show, The X Factor, with Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio.

“Across the board it’s like jamming. If I hear this [Punjabi song], I will start dancing, that’s fun! I don’t know what the lyrics say, but whatever it is, it has a nice little swing to it. I love the beats in between,” Rowland said in a statement.

However, that’s not all. It appears that the singer has also been bitten by the Bollywood bug. “I watch Bollywood films, I mean I love Bollywood films! They are some of the best films. How detailed they are, how much fun they are, how much colour there is and how there’s so much going on, it’s just really entertaining,” she said. When asked if she would consider being part of the Indian film industry, she said, “That would be very cool.”

I have never seen Pakistanis on an Indian newspaper as thirsty to hit back at the other than Indians on Pakistanis newspapers. How desperate can you get? Bollywood is very famous, no one is denying that and I myself love some of films. And no not really, Nusrat, Musarrat, Arif Lohar, Junoon, Vital Signs, Coke Studio among other artists and platforms are recognised very well without the help of Bollywood, thank you. And once again, go away please. And Kelly Rowland spoke about bhangra music which is Punjabi and both Pakistani and Indian artists are part of it in the UK, like Jay Sean or Imran Khan.
