ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and its Turkish counterpart under the Secretariat of Treasury of Turkey on Wednesday agreed on mutual cooperation and experience-sharing in the area of insurance regulations and supervision. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed by Federal Minister for Finance Mohammad Ishaq Dar and his Turkish counterpart Mehmet Simsek. The MoU proposes exchange of information regarding the insurance sector to enhance the transparency, understanding and operational coordination between the insurance regulators of the two countries. Furthermore the two countries mutually agreed over extending technical assistance and carrying out joint training programmes on the subjects of mutual interests.
