Unemployment; YDA protests suspension of 63 doctors

The participants rallied from the operation theatre in BVH to the office of the medical superintendent.

BAHAWALPUR: The Young Doctors Association Bahawalpur chapter organised a rally here on Wednesday to protest suspension of 63 house officers in from Nistar Hospital, Bahawal Victoria Hospital and Shaikh Zayed Hospital. The protest was led by YDA office bearers Dr Kamran Akmal and Dr Khawar Abbas. The participants rallied from the operation theatre in BVH to the office of the medical superintendent. The protesters said that on one hand the government claimed to be providing jobs to unemployed youth, and on the other hand it was firing them from their jobs. They said they wanted the government to explain where the Rs93 billion allocated from the budget was spent.
