PESHAWAR:

Former chief minister (CM) Amir Haider Khan Hoti has termed allegations levelled against Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan “mud-slinging” and stressed action against the violator of party discipline, his father.

Haider Hoti issued a press statement on Sunday following his father, Senator Azam Khan Hoti’s statements demanding Asfandyar Wali Khan to quit otherwise he (Azam) will open a ‘Pandora’s box’ against him and party leaders.

Haider Hoti said statements which disgrace the party chief will not be tolerated and he would support the remaining part of the Pukhtun national movement, started by Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and Khan Abdul Wali Khan.

Haider Hoti also said a show-cause notice against Senator Azam Khan Hoti was a good omen for the party and stressed upon taking symbolic action against the Senator. “Asfandyar Wali Khan has not only strengthened the party enough to make it one of the leading parties in the province, he has also brought us representation in the Senate,” the statement read.
