Censure: CCPO suspends 23 officers

Suspended officials include six station house officers, a traffic warden and five constables.

LAHORE: The capital city police officer on Friday suspended 23 police officers for various offences. The suspended officials included six station house officers, a traffic warden and five constables.

The CCPO rejected appeals of Sub Inspector Muhammad Riaz, SI Amjad Khan, SI Muhammad Ashiq, ASI Faqeeruddin, ASI Nazeer Ahmad and ASI Muhammad Afzal and suspended them. He also rejected the appeals of traffic wardens Tahir Mehmood, Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Maqsood, Tasawwur Ali, Amir Hassan, Azhar Ashraf, Abdul Quddoos, Shoaib Ali and Rehana Allah Yar.

The CCPO also suspended the appeals of Head Constable Muhammad Shahbaz and Constables Saleem Azhar, Shabbir Hussain, Qaiser Hafeez, Allah Rakha, Sajid Ali, Sajid Fayyaz and Hamid Saeed. The CCPO accepted the appeals of 33 officers and the decision of six incomplete appeals was postponed.
