ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that measures taken by the Pakistan government for revamping the energy sector have made it attractive for foreign investment. In a meeting with the US Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs, Ambassador Carlos Pascual, in New York, the finance minister said the energy mix in the country had continued to bank on expensive fuel sources over a number of years and the new government was exploring options to produce cheaper energy from coal, gas and water.“Our aim is to correct the energy mix in the shortest possible time and Pakistan will appreciate US help in achieving this goal,” he said.
