Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) deputy chief and former federal minister Maulana Attaur Rehman said Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should open offices at the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) chief minister’s house and in Bani Gala, Islamabad.

Addressing a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Thursday, his sarcastic remarks came in response to PTI chief Imran Khan’s statement suggesting the TTP to set up a ‘political office’ in Pakistan. Bani Gala is where Imran Khan resides in Islamabad.

Rehman said the party is preparing for the local body elections and a meeting to this end was held at the JUI-F secretariat chaired by Maulana Jalil Jan. “The party has fully authorised the district leadership to make seat adjustments deemed necessary with any political party,” he added.

He said by-election results in Tank and Lakki Marwat were not accepted by his party and they have informed the Election Commission of Pakistan about this.
