KARACHI:

The Sindh government has decided to hold local government elections on November 27 and start the delimitation of constituencies from today.

This decision was made at the Sindh Cabinet meeting, which was chaired by chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at New Sindh Secretariat on Wednesday. After the meeting, information minister Sharjel Memon informed the media that the delimitation of the constituencies will start at the union council and tehsil levels under the supervision of deputy commissioners. After delimitation, the next two weeks will be fixed for hearing any objections and deciding on them. The entire process will take around 28 days.

“The government will soon launch a campaign asking people to surrender illicit arms and start re-verifying their licenses.” Sources said a new Sindh Secretariat may also be built.
