Learning languages: DA school holds spelling bee

A large number of students from 12 educational institutions of the DHA participated.

KARACHI: Proficiency in English language gives confidence to the students and helps them progress in their careers in the future, said the chief guest, Brig (retd) Muhammad Ali Jawaid, at the Inter Schools Spelling Bee Competition 2013 held at Defence Authority Shiekh Khalifa Bin Zayed College on Tuesday. A large number of students from 12 educational institutions of the DHA participated. In the age group between nine and 11 years, the students of Defence Authority Model High School Phase-IV won, while in the age group of 12-14 years, students of Defence Authority Neelum High School won the competition, and in the age group of 15-17 years, students of Defence Authority Model High School Phase-IV clinched the top position.
