No one was arrested as the criminals managed to get away.
The targeted operation in Karachi began on September 5, and since then more than 300 suspects have been arrested. The Rangers are leading the operation which, they claim, is being conducted across the city – not just in the political strongholds of one party. Separately, the police have conducted 975 raids and arrested 1,232 criminals.
These numbers do not illustrate the efficacy or success of the targeted operation under way as the law-enforcement agencies have still not raided many of the ‘no-go’ areas, including Sohrab Goth and Manghopir. These areas are ungoverned territories where law-enforcers have no writ.
The Rangers are conducting raids and apprehending criminals affiliated with political parties along with the gangsters of Lyari, only a few of them being suspected target killers and extortionists. No one accused of sectarian violence and terrorism has been caught so far.

@why ?: Yes you are right. ET some times project the news in such away as if this is the last day . Or some times the moderator takes 16 hrs to clear the comment. This has happened to one of my comment. In my judgement their is no need for the moderator to hold or delay the comment. I have written many time about it but so far their is no change of policy. Yahoo.com does not have any moderator. Some time their is so much bias in spinning the the news, it feels like I am reading Indian newspaper. I hope this goes thru the moderator because he is acting like a Headmaster.
"Exploding Mangoes" in Karachi.
Many are caught. no names, no photos, it is worth asking how are they housed, feeding and interrogations, I am not asking where are they housed?? at least their cell., which every layman carries, and their Ids can prove a lot ???
If more than 300 suspects have been arrested, it is bound to give the security forces some leads as to the individuals responsible for the unrest and violence in Karachi? It would be interesting to know whether violence has decreased in Karachi in the past two weeks since operations have started. That would give some indication and hopefully we will see major breakthrough due to these efforts. It is encouraging to read new reports such as these. The decrease of explosives and grenades off the streets plays a significant role in the overall equation of cleaning the streets of Karachi and bringing stability. We support these efforts and hope to see Karachi restored to its former glory.

The best part of the whole story is that the miscreants managed to get away. STOP FOOLING the nation.
This is all just an act to fool the green grass eaters. Thats about it. No one is ever caught nor anyone will ever get punished by the courts. We desperately need capital punishment back.
@why ?: ET is reporting facts which most of us have continued to ignore on one pretext or another.....which has brought this country to this point of mess.....it is very disappointing to read and hear intellectuals and literate lot who refuse to face facts and ground realities instead of learning from pat mistakes....
ET is doing a fine job, keep it up, because truth must prevail and we must face truth...that is what is going to be our savior.....we must be prepared to swallow the bitter pill, if not today...tomorrow MUST.
why cant ET support something positive? why do they have to spin it off to negativity ? i know they will not allow this comment to be posted.. i just want them to read it at least.. Other newspapers are reporting the same thing so positively.. yet, ET continues to be negative..
