Raid and rescue: Ghotki police save two abducted Hindu boys

The police found the boys from a house in Thekrato village, arrest three men and a woman.

The Ghotki police found two Hindu boys, Nishal and Haresh, on Friday ending the continuous discontent among the minority community in Qadirpur. They also found an ASI involved in the kidnapping.


The police recovered the two boys of class 10 from a house in Thekrato village situated within Khanpur Mahar police limits and arrested four kidnappers including a woman. Addressing a press conference at his office in Mirpur Mathelo on Friday evening, SSP Ghotki Abdul Salam Shaikh said that a couple of days ago, the police had arrested a suspect, Paryo Lakhan, who confided that the kidnapping was done by bandit Asghar Chachar's gang.

DSPAbdul Hakeem Mazari and his team raided Thekrato village and found the kidnapped boys inside the house of Chandi Bullo. The kidnappers included ASI Abdul Razzaq Bullo, Asghar Chachar, Abdul Ghaffar Mochi and a woman, who used to cook food for them. According to the SSP, ASI Bullo belonged to Karachi police and bandit Asghar Chachar carried Rs200,000 as head money.

According to Nishal and Haresh, they were kidnapped on September 2 by four people in a car from Qadirpur and were taken to a deserted place, where they were kept for 17 days. The boys further said, when the police raided the house, some of the criminals managed to escape.

Ghotki's Hindu Panchayat president Mukhi Keka Ram expressed his jubilance over the safe recovery of the boys, thanked the police, Mahar Sardars and the media for playing an active role in helping to find the boys.
