Nearly 750 students from various schools sat through the third morning session at Hall 2 on Friday. Six short films were screened during the third session; Are You Proud of Me?, The Centipede and The Toad, Growing, Daddy ABC, Spycat and the Paper Chase and Journey to the Iron Birds.
Salman Hassan, a class 6 student at Beaconhouse Schools Johar Town campus, said, “It was an experience of a lifetime... I got to watch amazing movies with my classmates. I hope the organisers extend the dates of the festival so that we can watch other movies with our families on Sunday.”
Fatima Aftab, a teacher at Beaconhouse, said, “Hats off to the jury for selecting some great movies. Our students enjoyed all the movies screened here at the festival.”
Abubakar Khan, a student at Beaconhouse Newlands, said, “Spycat and the Paper Chase, The Centipede and the Toad and Journey to the Iron Birds were my favourite movies.”
The Centipede and the Toad, a 10-minute film directed by Anna Khmelevskaya, was screened for the eighth time at the festival.
It has been previously screened at Ziln Film Festival 2013 and Czech Republic-Eastern Europe premiere.
