Helping-hand: Pak envoy reviews projects in Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD:
Pakistani High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Maj Gen (retd) Qasim Qureshi visited the Northern Province of Sri Lanka to review the progress of development projects taken up by the government of Pakistan there. The visit was aimed to understand the ground situation and explore opportunities to expand the economic, cultural and people-to-people links between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, said a handout issued here. These projects include expansion and up-gradation of Al-AkshaMaha Vidyalam( School) in Salam Baikulam Vavuniya. Pakistani government is undertaking the uplift of this school with the collaboration of Sri Lankan Government through the good offices of Minister Basil Rajapaksha and Minister Rishad Badiuddin.
