Cost of schooling: NGO protests high tuition fees

High fees prove a great hurdle to education of girls.

MULTAN: A non-governmental organisation (NGO) staged a protest demonstration against fee structure for FA/FSc students of Women University here at Katchery Chowk on Tuesday. Addressing the protestors, Jago Pakistani Movement Chairperson Rabia Manal Khan said high fees prove a great hurdle to education of girls. She demanded that the government restore Government Degree College status and shift the university to its original location at Matti Tul Road. Shahid Mehmood Ansari, Aurung Zaib Khan, Jamil Zia and Rukhsana Mehboob also spoke on the occasion.
