Earlier, HBL had only managed to collect one point in the league, managing a draw and three defeats.
However, their striker Muhammad Saeed scored the winner in the 29th minute of the match to give them the long-awaited victory.
Meanwhile, Navy are also struggling in the league, with just one win and a draw to their name after having played five matches.
In today’s fixture, two-time champions Army will play debutants Lyallpur FC at the Railway Stadium in Lahore.
Army defeated Lyallpur FC 2-0 in their last encounter on September 11 and will aim at continuing their unbeaten run in this year’s PPFL edition.
They have won two out of three matches and held on for a draw against four-time champions Wapda.
