Taking initiative: Bohra community resolves to clean city

A delegation of the community, led by Muhammad Kumail and Younis Hussain Kumail, met the provincial CM at CM House.

KARACHI: Members of the Bohra community have expressed their interest in participating in the city government’s cleanliness drive. A delegation of the community, led by Muhammad Kumail and Younis Hussain Kumail, met the provincial Chief Minister (CM) at CM House on Tuesday. The delegation said that they wished to adopt some areas of the city to make them “neat and clean”. The CM, appreciating the community’s efforts, said that their attitude reflected the confidence of people in the Pakistan Peoples Party’s government. He directed the local government secretary and KMC administrator to prepare a standard operating procedure in consultation with Bohra community leaders and provide the required resources at their disposal so that they could maintain the cleanliness of the areas adopted by them. Accepting the CM’s offer, the leaders expressed their desire for the support of government machinery and human resources at their disposal.
