He added that it is the responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to check this and keep the elections clean and unbiased.
PTI has protested against this and will continue to do so, he said. It has also filed a petition with the ECP and will be providing video evidence in addition to other evidence.
A Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench election tribunal had declared Ayla Malik ineligible to contest based on the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education’s (RBISE) finding that her intermediate (FA) degree was forged in July.
The PTI chairman Imran Khan had previously stated that the candidate's degree was not fake but was a case of 'technical lacuna'.

Is she a daughter of some big land lord? There is no other qualified candidate in PTI? If not , Why? Why PTI is pushing for a tainted candidate? To my little knowledge, there is always a covering candidate.
what about the seat PTI won from karachi? There was no re-polling in 80+ stations where polling had started around 4pm and end at 6pm. Why only 40-50 hand-picked stations were chosen for re-polling while 70% of population couldn't get a single vote in?
And the main parties like MQM, PPP and JI didn't even take part in NA 250 elections. WAS THAT FAIR MR. QURESHI?

I guess just like good taliban and bad taliban for PTI it is the matter of having a good fake degree versus a bad fake degree, the distinction being the good one's latest degree is at least genuine vs the bad one that has even the latest one being fake :)

Mr. Qureshi, what’s the big deal if Ayla Mailk could not contest the election. Still someone benefited from PTI ticket from the same family. Need not to mention Ayla's cousin. So what is the big deal, the same family of rulers, who ruled this constituency for decades, was your candidate. I would say PMLn has brought a real change in this constituency by making shadi Khel wining against Kala Bag family.

In case you did not bother to read the news properly, it wasn't the RO or ECP which unilaterally disqualified Ayla Malik. Rawalpindi Board raised suspicion on her credentials and declared them bogus. Now log on to insaf.pk and demand from you leadership to sue Rawalpindi Board of Secondary Education for such a malafide act.

@Shah (Berlin): Let PTI go for establishing the truth but it should apply to all the case across the board and not only to this particular case where either justice was not delivered, denied or apparently invisible.

It is PTI's right to ask for justice. ECP should check and if it finds that the degree was not fake, then they should punish the Returning officer.
Surprising how PTI's purpose of existence revolves around this lady. Carry on mr.imran khan like this and at least i would nto vote again for pti for sure

I am a PTI supporter but please guys now move forward...how can you even defend a person who has a fake degree....PTI you are better than this....show your work in KPK....and if you are good peopel will vote you next time in other provinces as well...grow up guys..
