Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said on Monday that intelligence agencies have completely failed to deliver and the PTI government has decided to introduce its own intelligence system.
Addressing a news conference at the Police Rest House, Khattak said his government wants peace in the region and will play a positive role in negotiations with all stakeholders for restoring durable peace in the country.
“Our province was severely affected by militancy in the last decade disrupting economic growth,” the CM lamented, adding “we need to show unity and strength.”
PTI’s stance on the war on terror was very clear, said Khattak, repeating the party’s line “negotiations were the best way to find permanent solution to end terrorism and tackle militancy.”
Khattak said that political leaders should be taken into confidence for chalking out a future line of action in the event of peace talks with the Taliban failing.
