MANSEHRA:

Three more villagers suspected to have been infected with dengue were admitted to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, officials said on Monday.

Habibur Rehman and his son Shahwaiz Habib from Haneefabad along with Gulraz, a resident of Baidra, came to the hospital complaining of body ache, orbital pain and high fever, said hospital staffers. They added the platelet count of these patients was also considerably low.

Medical officer Dr Nasir confirmed three patients with symptoms similar to dengue have been admitted to the hospital and their blood samples have been sent to National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad. He maintained initial tests indicated they have dengue, but the virus can only be confirmed after test reports arrive from NIH. He, however, said the patients were out of danger.

Three patients suspected to be suffering from the virus have already been admitted to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital during the last two weeks.
