‘Shady’ Activities: Police arrest suspects from Phase II

The police raided the building on Saturday evening on a tip-off and arrested a group of suspects.

KARACHI: A group of people were arrested by the police and charged with promoting prostitution after an alleged brothel was busted at Phase II commercial of Defence Housing Authority within the jurisdiction of Defence police station. The police raided the building on Saturday evening on a tip-off and arrested a group of suspects. They were shifted to Defence police station where the cases against them were registered. They said that the identification and other details of the detainees were in the process of being gathered. DSP Tariq Mughal said that the woman who was running the ‘shady business’ was also among the detainees. He further said that the woman had recently hired the flat on rent, while the police was getting further information about those who are involved in this business in the locality.
