Ghost teachers: Protest against corruption in edu dept

A large number of parents, citizens and members of civil society protested against ghost teachers.

MEHAR: A large number of parents, citizens and members of civil society protested against ghost teachers and the selling of text books in market by local education supervisors. Led by Ejaz Chandio and Mahram Brohi, the protesters shouted slogans against corrupt officials in the education department. They said that many teachers are getting salaries from the government but are busy with their personal businesses and private jobs. The protesters requested the Sindh education minister to look into this matter and eliminate corruption and favouritism from the education system.
