It had earlier been reported that the Wolves, who had became the second Pakistan outfit to qualify for the prestigious tournament, will not be granted Indian visas due to security concerns in the wake of the political tension between the two governments.
The Faisalabad outfit, led by Pakistan Test and One-Day International captain Misbahul Haq, are scheduled to start the four-team qualifying stage of the event from September 17.
Faisalabad Wolves, along with Otago Volts, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kandurata Maroons will play the qualifiers beginning on September 17 in Hyderabad, with the top two sides advancing to the main draw starting on September 21.
The outfits have been divided into two groups with top two teams progressing to the semi-finals.
Due to strained relations between the governments, the Champions League T20, run by the Indian board, ignored domestic sides from Pakistan in its first few years.
However, Sialkot Stallions had became the first side from the country to feature in the lucrative tournament last year when it got a slot in the qualifying tournament.

Well done in India. I am waiting to hear from all those (except @Blunt) who blasted India on another page,

on the same issue.
welcome to Hyderabad! it's a beautiful, beautiful city! also has a lovely stadium and the best crowd in the world!
@My oh My: How about your those friends who were making comments like it's our country, 'its our tournament' (though its not actually)? People are and should continue to support good decisions and condemn bad ones.
if pakistanis has at least self respect then they should not go to India.
For all those who were condemning and abusing India yesterday could you please apologize. Come on, do not be shy.
Make sure you go back. Wolves
PCB should have boycotted it. Im all for indo-pak friendship, but India needs to be taught a lesson !!!
Thank you India. Majority of Indians and Pakistanis are nice people. Slap on the faces of crazy, divisive and hateful minority of both countries.
In one of the previous posts(on the same topic),there was an indian named vikram, who did say that the visas will be issued and also talked a lot of sense about india being a failing state and other stuff(obviously he was lambasted by other indians)..quite impressed now, that he was right.
Good-luck to Faisalabad Wolves in 2013 Champions League T20. Hope that they will perform well for the honor of Pakistan. Nice gesture by Indian government to issue visas to players of Pakistani domestic Twenty20 champions.
Shameless people, still they want to come to India.
Finally India has realized that they must not bring politics in sports, and this is the time for Faislabad wolves to make Pakistan pride at least they must qualify, they are not Faislabad there you are representing Pakistan.
@Bharat....That's the spirit!
think its the right time to forget the past..we are the new generation, why should we fight
Being a Pakistani, I castigated the Indian government previously for polluting the sports with politics by denying the visa to FW, but this time around I feel my duty to give them due credit. Well done.
It is difficult to support this decision, we have lost too much, however, it is the decision of the Govt. Of India, and so I must accept and respect this decision. Welcome to the tournament Wolves, do the town of Faisalabad proud.
Money talks. The presence of Pak. players will bring more people to stadium and TV coverage. The simplest reason why visas are issued
Welcome to India my Pakistani brothers :-)
its unfortunate that the game of cricket is played in the political grounds.............
So all that India bashing was for nothing. They should have waited for the official word before spreading rumors in media.
Welcome to INDIA. hope pak player must be happy as of now.
As an indian i am quite happy that a pak team is coming to india, shud help to imrove ties.
very nice gesture from Indian government. I highly commend them.
