MULTAN: A Rescue 1122 team on Thursday pulled out a donkey from a manhole an hour after it had fallen into it. Khan Muhammad, the owner of the animal, said that it fell into the manhole on Boson Road while he was unloading cement. He said he had not noticed that the lid of the manhole was broken. He said he managed to hold the animal by its strap so that it wouldn’t drown. Meanwhile, some passers-by informed Rescue 1122. Muhammad said the donkey was worth Rs100,000.
