Business relations: Italy planning chamber of commerce

Italian investments in Pakistan have been growing and currently amount to approximately $200 million.

ISLAMABAD: The Italian embassy is promoting a start-up of a full-fledged Italian chamber of commerce in Pakistan. Italian investments in Pakistan have been growing and currently amount to approximately $200 million. Almost all the investment are directed towards the energy sector, and Italian companies are looking for more trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan, said the Italian ambassador Adriano Chiodi Cianfarani, while addressing the business community at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). The Italian ambassador has invited a ten-member delegation of Italian entrepreneurs and has assured them that the ICCI would connect them with relevant counterparts in Pakistan, for exploring business opportunities.
