Soon after the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar prided in front of the media about the large number of successes made in the latest episode of the Karachi operation, at least six people were gunned down within two hours in the recent spate of killings in the metropolis, on Tuesday.


These killings are in addition to the five people who were killed on Tuesday morning, taking the day’s fatality toll to 11.


The latest incidents of targeted killings occurred in Hyderi, New Karachi, Nazimabad and Gulistan-e-Jauhar where target killers killed at least six people including two policemen, father and a son and a trustee of the Imambargah.


The major incident occurred in Hyderi locality where armed motorcyclists targeted the police mobile resulting in the death of two police constables.


The incident took place when armed motorcyclists opened fire at the police mobile when it was busy in routine snap checking.
