The van was travelling from Islamabad to Lahore on Monday evening. Just 10 kilometeres outside Chiniot, it collided with a truck. As it collided the truck climbed over the van.
A short circuit in the truck's wiring caused a fire which engulfed the truck's engine and then the van. The fire severely burnt passengers in the van, killing thirteen of them instantly.
A woman and a child though miraculously survived the accident.
Till last reports, the van was wedged under the truck and rescue workers had managed to recover eight bodies from the wreckage. They have sought heavy machinery to dislodge the van and recover at least five bodies which are believed to be still trapped inside the vehicle.
The dead and injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital where one of the injured succumbed to their injuries.
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has ordered to provide immediate medical attention to injured.

Tragedy. I don't know who to blame because there are no safety or precaution measures taken where drivers are tested carefully before they are given the responsibility of all the passengers on board.
And can anyone tell me why can't the government or manufacturers limit the max speed of the vans to safety limit. This is possible, right?
