ISLAMABAD: During a joint anti-encroachment operation carried out by the Capital Development Authority, ICT Administration and the Islamabad Police on Monday, a number of illegally-established concrete block factories in Sector E-12 have been closed down. Earlier, Section 144 was imposed against the operation of these factories and the movement of construction material in the locality. These factories were operating in violation of Section 144. The owners of factories have put construction material and blocks on the main road, which was causing great inconvenience to vehicles plying on the road. The enforcement directorate has lodged FIR’s with the Golra police. The operation will continue on Tuesday (today).
