KARACHI: The motor registration wing in Karachi is issuing standardised number plates, computerised challans and motor vehicle stickers to motorists at the time of registration of vehicles, announced excise and taxation secretary Aijaz Ahmed Memon on Monday. He informed that a backlog had occurred due to certain unavoidable circumstances in which the following series of motor vehicles and motorcycles were not supplied original number plates at the time of registration. The number plates of the following series for four wheelers AZJ, AZK, AZL, AZM, AZN, AZP, AZQ, AZQ, AZR, AZS, AZT and AZU, and two wheelers KGN, KGO, KGP and KGQ, will be available from October 1 at the office of the motor registration wing in Civic Centre. He advised the owners to collect these standardised number plates by producing original computerised challan or original registration book.
