Thin blood: Brother accused of occupying land

Complainant said she and her sisters were working on the field when Khan came and shot some bullets in the air.

MIANWALI: A woman registered an FIR on Monday against her brother alleging that he had illegally occupied land that she and her three sisters had inherited. Sarwar Khatoon, a resident of Mastiwala, told police that the sisters had inherited a four-kanal tract land from her father. On Sunday, she said, their only brother Samandar Khan destroyed crop on their land and claimed possession. She said she and her sisters were working on the field when Khan came and shot some bullets in the air. She said he told them all to leave and threatened to kill them. She said his friend Akbar Khan was also with him. She said Samandar Khan had been asking her and the rest of his sisters to give him their thumb impression on a blank paper, which, she said, they had refused to do.
