Law ministry to develop new draft law on LEAs: Cabinet Committee
Cabinet committee will discuss the draft law in its September 11 meeting.

The committee directed that the draft law must be presented for discussion at the next meeting of the Committee scheduled for September 11. The recommendations of the committee will be attached with the draft and sent to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for approval.
Presided by Federal Minister for Science & Technology Zahid Hamid, the Committee sought ways to improve the effectiveness of law-enforcement agencies so that instances of crimes could be reduced.
The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Khwaka Zaheer Ahmed, DG Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Judge Advocate General and DMI (IS), GHQ, Senator Farogh Naseem and former minister of law Ahmar Bilal Soofi amongst others.
