Unidentified persons had planted a remote control bomb on a cycle parked between two trucks on Khalifa Street of Killi Bangulzai area near the grid station on Sariab Road.
Around three kilogrammes of explosive material was used in the blast, Kechi Baig Police Official Javed Ahmed told The Express Tribune. Frontier Corps and police personnel rushed to the spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area. The deceased and injured were taken to the Civil Hospital. According to the hospital sources, three of the injured are in critical condition.
Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has condemned the attack and directed the Civil Hospital administration to provide best possible treatment to the injured, said Jan Buledi spokesman for the chief minister.
Meanwhile in Loralai district two personnel of Balochistan Constabulary died and another was wounded when unidentified men stormed their check post in Zangiwal area with sophisticated weapons. The deceased Hawaldar Rehmatullah and Constable Rozi Khan and the injured ASI Ziauddin were shifted to hospital.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
