Cheque fraud: Judge asks SHO to investigate case
The judge ordered the SHO to investigate the case.
ATTOCK:
An additional sessions and district judge in Attock directed the Station House Offficer (SHO) of Attock Police Station to investigate a case involving a bogus cheque. The judge gave the order on a petition submitted by Imtiaz Ali, owner of a recruiting agency, who alleged that Umar Afridi took Rs140,000 from him with the promise that he would send his client to a foreign country. But Afridi did not oblige and kept making excuses. The plaintiff said that when he asked Afridi, reportedly an employee of the Saudi Arabian embassy in Islamabad, to return the money, he gave him a cheque of Rs100,000, which bounced when it was deposited in the bank. While entertaining the petition, the judge ordered the SHO to investigate the case.
