Representative Bodies: HCCI to hold elections on September 28
Businessmen and Tajir Dost, will compete for 12 corporate and 12 associate class seats.
HYDERABAD:
The Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold elections to elect office bearers on the corporate class and associate class seats on September 28. HCCI spokesperson, Mukhtiar Beg, said that the elections will be held in light of the Sindh High Court’s order and as required by the Trade Organizations Ordinance, 2007. Two panels of the business community, Businessmen and Tajir Dost, will compete for 12 corporate and 12 associate class seats. The president, senior vice president and vice president will also be elected on the same day. The new voters’ list will be released a few days before the election. Earlier, the September 2012 elections were postponed after one of the members went to the SHC complaining of bogus voter entries.
