Death toll from dengue virus reached five when another patient died in Saidu Teaching Hospital (STH), Mingora on Friday.
Mrs Farid, a resident of Banr area of Mingora, was being treated at home.
According to data collected from private clinics and laboratories, the number of dengue patients continues to increase with 6,000 suspected cases so far.
District Health Office spokesperson Dr Haider Ali confirmed the patients at the hospital have reached 1,722, while around 200 fresh cases have been admitted at the STH.
On Friday alone, six patients were admitted in hospitals of Matta and Khwazakhela and eight were admitted in private clinics, said the doctor adding 135 patients were discharged from STH after complete recovery.
On Wednesday, the district government requested all segments of society to do their bit in tackling the dengue outbreak in Swat Valley by taking part in an awareness campaign. The awareness drive will be held across the district. Information about Aedes mosquitoes which carry the virus along with precautionary products will be disbursed by the district government to hotels and other public places.
